Reported use averaged 5.8 hours per day on six days weekly at six months and 5.5 hours on six days weekly at 12 months. Follow-up was 99% and 98%, and analysis followed allocation with last observation carried forward for limited missing data. The control was a one-year untreated waiting list with no sham orthosis, leaving expectation effects for unblinded self-reported pain.
